61 people in the village of Panga, DRC have died from what is described as a disease similar to meningitis.
Symptoms were fever, vomiting, loss of consciousness, and stiffness of the neck, which are similar to those of meningitis.
The government has deployed teams to collect samples and investigate the outbreak, but lack the resources necessary to confirm or deny a meningitis epidemic
