In Iraq, at least 40 confirmed cases of hemorrhagic fever have been reported, with eight people dying. The pathogen is primarily spread by mouse-like rodents that carry the infection.
Hemorrhagic fever is a viral infection that causes systemic damage to small blood vessels, hemorrhagic diathesis, hemodynamic disorders, and kidney damage that leads to acute renal failure.
